What exactly does ShadyCut do?

ShadyCut turns long gaming sessions into story-driven, editable first cuts. It understands the session, finds the story inside it, selects and arranges the material that matters, and gives the creator or editor a structured starting point to refine.

Is ShadyCut just a highlight generator?

No. Highlights are individual moments. ShadyCut looks at the wider session and works out how setup, decisions, setbacks, turning points and payoffs connect into a story worth watching.

Does ShadyCut only use the transcript?

No. Speech is important, but ShadyCut also uses gameplay context, speaker activity, visual and audio signals, session events and other available context to understand what is actually happening.

What do I get at the end?

You get a structured editable first cut with selected and arranged source material, story structure, scene context and editorial guidance. It is designed to give you a strong starting point instead of a locked final video.

Can I change ShadyCut's edit?

Yes. Scene order, trims, pacing, styling and the overall direction remain editable. ShadyCut proposes the first cut — the creative decisions are still yours.

Which editors are supported?

Premiere Pro is currently supported through XML export. Support for additional editing workflows is planned.

Which games are supported?

ShadyCut currently has dedicated game-aware support for titles including ARC Raiders, Arena Breakout, Genshin Impact and Rust Mobile. See all supported games →

What if my game isn't supported yet?

ShadyCut can still work with footage without dedicated game-specific knowledge. Supported games get deeper game-aware context, while broader session and story understanding can still be used elsewhere.

What kind of content is ShadyCut built for?

ShadyCut is currently focused on long-form gaming content, especially streams and sessions where the strongest story may be buried inside hours of footage.

How long does processing take?

Most streams are currently processed in around 15–20 minutes, depending on the length and complexity of the session.

Can I use ShadyCut for any platform?

Yes. ShadyCut prepares an editable story-driven first cut. What you turn it into — and where you publish it — is up to you.

Does ShadyCut create the final video for me?

Not by default. ShadyCut gets you to a strong editable first cut, then you or your editor can tighten it, restyle it, add creative effects and finish the video however you want.

How does the private beta selection work?

Anyone can apply through the beta form. I manually review submissions and select projects that help test ShadyCut across different games, creator styles and real-world editing workflows. The private beta is not first come, first served.
